  • The Health and Human Services secretary announced that the number of drug overdose deaths in the United States is beginning to level off.
  • The FDA approved a new drug to treat the flu within 48 hours of the appearance of symptoms.


  • Northwestern Medicine researchers find that a group of gene mutations may contribute to an increased risk of bleeding while taking warfarin.
