- The Surgeon General released an advisory calling teenage e-cigarette use an epidemic in the United States.
- According to the CDC, almost 40,000 people died from guns in 2017, an increase of over 1,000 from 2016.
Northwestern
- Northwestern study suggests that 10% of adults have a food allergy, yet many more report having an allergy.
- Northwestern Medicine study shows that two drugs prescribed to treat type 2 diabetes are associated with an increased risk for cardiovascular events.
